Flipped Learning or Flipped Classroom
Flipped Learning, also known as the Flipped Classroom, is an instructional strategy where traditional learning environments are reversed. Instead of receiving instruction in a classroom and then completing homework independently, learners first engage with new content on their own—typically through videos, readings, or other digital materials—and then use classroom time for interactive, hands-on activities that reinforce and apply the knowledge gained.
In the context of corporate training, flipped learning is utilized to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of training programs. By flipping the traditional training model, employees can absorb foundational knowledge at their own pace before coming together for collaborative activities, discussions, case studies, or problem-solving sessions led by a facilitator. This approach maximizes the value of in-person or synchronous training time, allowing employees to deepen their understanding and apply what they’ve learned in a supportive, real-world context.
