LMS (Learning Management System)

A Learning Management System (LMS) is a software platform designed to manage, deliver, and track online training and educational programs within an organization. It serves as a centralized hub where educational content is created, organized, and distributed, and where learners can access courses, assessments, and resources. An LMS also provides tools for tracking learner progress, measuring training effectiveness, and generating reports to inform decision-making and continuous improvement in training programs. Learning Management Systems were first adopted by corporations in the late 1990s.

An LMS Administrator is responsible for the maintenance of the LMS.
