Generation X
Generation X refers to individuals born between approximately 1965 and 1980. This generation is often characterized by its independence, adaptability, and skepticism, having grown up during a time of significant social, economic, and technological change. As of today, Generation X members are typically in their early 40s to late-50s and often hold mid- to senior-level positions in the workforce. They are known for their resourcefulness and pragmatic approach to both work and life, often balancing professional responsibilities with family obligations.
Communication Style: Gen X prefers straight-to-the-point communications. Email, phone and face-to-face platforms are preferred but this generation adopts digital platforms easily.
Preferred Learning Format: Gen X prefers learning that supports work life balance such as self-directed, asynchronous, or virtual learning.
