The award recognizes a sales training initiative developed for a national residential real estate company that delivered measurable improvements in employee performance and business results.
The award-winning sales program was designed to help leasing specialists strengthen their consultative sales skills and improve conversion rates throughout the customer journey. As leasing roles evolved to include greater responsibility for revenue generation, the organization needed a consistent approach to building customer relationships, identifying needs, handling objections, and closing sales.
The program combined virtual instructor-led training, self-paced eLearning, realistic practice activities, and ongoing manager coaching. Approximately 85 leasing specialists participated in the initiative, which emphasized applying new skills directly to customer interactions. Leaders also received training to reinforce the behaviors and support continued performance improvement.
The program delivered measurable business results
within its first three months:
- Average monthly move-ins per leasing specialist increased by 32.5%, from 27.7 to 36.7.
- Application-to-approval conversion improved from 49.0% to 58.1%.
- Approved-to-move-in conversion increased from 73.5% to 74.7%.
These results demonstrate the value of connecting learning initiatives directly to business objectives, reinforcing skills through practice and coaching, and measuring success through operational performance indicators.
